We are looking to recruit a dedicated, Professional Helpdesk Technician based out of the Birmingham branch offering technical support for the companies UK branches. The candidate must be flexible and have a desire to solve problems and drive high standards. Candidate requirements for this position: As part of relevant IT skills, The company are also needing the user to have a proficient knowledge of the following IT subjects: Windows operating systems for both servers and desktop computers. Linux server operating systems (console, no graphical user interface) Hardware repairs and maintenance. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook mainly) All the common system services (printers, file management etc) TSQL knowledge, being able to do simple queries to investigate any database malfunction. Remote Desktop technologies to fix any issue in any computer or server belonging to the company Systems. Networking (VPNs, WIFI APs. Routers, etc). Duties of the role are: Knowledge in System Administration. Proactiveness and good capability of learning new technologies and adapt to them. Good team integration, cooperative work and capacity of providing feedback and personal points of view which could be evaluated by their supervisor. Problem solving resolutions, solve any issue documented following the procedure, do initial research if the issue not indexed, and provide information to the Systems area for future similar issues Maintenance tasks Must be capable to understand causes and provide solutions for issues caused in the company related to their systems, Follow accomplish area protocols Track data to evaluate the time / cost of tasks performed, using the tools and manuals provided to them by the company. Traveling to any other Uk company site following a regular schedule along with remotely offering support All new candidates to the company may require additional training at the companies head office in Valencia, Spain Travel costs will be covered Hours of work: 40 hours per week but will need to be flexible as needed. Salary £30,000, + laptop, Mobile phone, Work uniform
