Amyx is seeking to hire a remote Software Architect to support our DLA DAAS Sustainment Support Contract.

Provides high-level architectural expertise to managers and technical staff. Develops architectural products and deliverables for the enterprise and operational business lines. Advises on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development. Sets standards for the client/server relational database structure for the organization (SQL, ORACLE, SYBASE, etc.). Advises of feasibility of potential future projects to management.

  • Research for cloud hosting requirements to ensure compatibility with the cloud architecture
  • Coordinate with the Cloud Managed Service Provider (MSP) contractor to determine infrastructure, connectivity requirements. The contractor shall evaluate development, staging, production and COOP environments to meet the application performance requirements
  • Refactor software to install and function on the cloud platform where necessary
  • In conjunction with the Cloud MSP contractor, install, configure and monitor the applications within the scope of this task order in the development, stage, production and COOP environments in the cloud
  • The contractor shall execute Required Tests (Unit, System, Functional, Interface, Regression, Performance, Cyber Security, Integration and/or Interoperability and section 508 testing) to ensure the application capabilities are maintained in the cloud environment. Identify and resolve issues identified during testing
  • Provide assistance with moving customer connections and data flows to the cloud as required by the Government
  • Analyze operational problems, develop solutions and take corrective action as appropriate to ensure continued Automation Information System (AIS) operation. Assist specialists in analysis and corrective action. Assist with problem identification and resolution in existing applications by analyzing system processes, interrelationships, interfaces, and data
  • Provide change management support by assisting with all levels of application customer communications necessary for cloud migration
  • Provide DAAS leadership with sustained situational awareness of incidents, problems, projects, and any events that have real or potential mission impact
  • Provide support to the Program Manager to meet the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) requirements for the applications within the scope in the cloud environment. The contractor shall implement necessary changes in the applications to ensure cybersecurity compliance in the cloud environment
  • Provide support to DAAS SSAE audit by assisting with making necessary updates to DAAS audit and system documentation to include SOPs, DAAS Management Description of Services (MDS) and evidentiary matter relevant to the applications within scope in the cloud environment
  • Provide support to DAAS Continuity of Operations (COOP) requirements by assisting with COOP Planning in the Cloud environment, provide support with making necessary updates to COOP related documentation to include such as Information System Contingency Plan (ISCP) documentation, COOP exercise related reports relevant to the applications within scope in the cloud environment
  • Provide updates to system documentation as required to reflect the change in hosting location and architecture
  • Provide assistance to the Agreements Management Team to revise over 800 existing agreements to make necessary updates to handle the hosting environment change from a traditional data center to a cloud for DAAS applications within the scope of this task order

  • Active IT - 1 (Secret) Clearance
  • Security+ CE (or 8570) Certification

  • Five (5) years of DLA or DoD experience
  • Infrascture experience
