Working as a security technical product manager as well as solution architect, you will be working with full NSX security stack covering wide range of scope Distributed Security include DFW, IPS/IDS as well Next Generation FW covering TLS, Deep Packet Inspection. This is a mixed role of focused security domain as well cross-functional solution domain. You may split the time between focused activities based on business requirements. This roles will challenge the experience built over the years with networking and security field and allows to employ it in building a newer services offering by NSX either in customer on-perm or in multi-cloud formation. In this role you will enjoy cross-BU architects, influencing customer design and domain experts. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Build deeper NSX stack knowledge.
Develop and understand solution level expertise including but not limited to VMware solution stack (VMware Cloud Foundation - VCF and other).
Work with PMs and cross-BU on meeting the release goals
Build baseline design knowledge
Pick up critical customer and sales focused engagement The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
Lead security technical area with a capacity to work with product managers, developers, TOI of new release features and evangelize to sales and customer
Build and evangelize deep technical architectural guidance on NSX platform to diverse stakeholders, enterprise to service provider, VCF & other NSX based solutions
Ability to connect dots finding dependency and passion to drive to build a customer centric solution.
Influence outcomes and team via best practices as well as navigate art of compromise
Validate, test and write the solution by collaborating with diverse domain experts (security, networking, compute and storage)
Lead and contribute to new areas of market development with evolving NSX to consumption based model What kind of experience that will accelerate your journey with VMware NSX?
Relevant experience in solution oriented environments covering at least two or three areas of the below:
- Security design principles covering zone, perimeter, workload segmentation, L7 & NGFW, relevant vendor experience is a plus
- Exposure to building large scale DC with full stack solution such as VCF and Openstack
- Enterprise networking experience from known venders such as Cisco/Arista/Juniper Layer 2/3, Advance routing, firewall, load balancer
- Experience with deployment of diverse workloads under vSphere & ESXi compute platform
- 5 to 8 years of experience in with working with architecture group of the customers or tenure in functional roles such as technical marketing, product management, cross-functional technical solution.
Experience with NSX security and/or security from traditional vendors such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco.
Resolves intra/ inter team/ company conflicts effectively and in timely fashion
Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills
Technical and Business Sales Acumen with excellent customer facing skills and ability to present to customers in field visit/EBC settings.
Ability to demonstrate a "figure it out" mentality by listening for and developing new technical solutions and models and quickly executing in their construction
Ability to deal with ambiguity and adaptable to change

FOR COLORADO-BASED CANDIDATES:
The hiring range for this position is typically $170,000.00- $306,000.00. Actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
