About the Advice Team

We are building a new service to help clients keep track of, and improve, their financial wellbeing and resilience. This will be achieved through a suite of digital tools supported by financial coaches and advisers to empower clients to reach their financial and saving goals. You'll be working in a team that's focused on delivery of this new service and play a fundamental role in achieving a successful launch and then growth of the service. This service is a key part of our strategy and is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future proposition of our company.

What you'll be doing

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead one of our Advice Teams. You'll pair closely with colleagues from Engineering, Design, and Data and be responsible for continually driving key business outcomes for your product. In addition, you'll collaborate with multiple stakeholders and SMEs from across the business including, Marketing, Risk, Compliance, Legal and Operations.

About you

Minimum qualifications

  • 4+ years' experience in a Product Manager role
  • Experience working in a cross-functional product team with design and engineering experts
  • Technically minded and have experience managing software products and navigating difficult technical trade-offs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems
  • Strong commercial and business awareness. Able to budget and forecast effectively.
  • Experience of using both quantitative and qualitative inputs to make informed product decisions and deliver meaningful insights
  • Entrepreneurial and self-driven. You don't need direction

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working in Financial Services, Banking or FinTech

Responsibilities

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and objectives in line with wider business goals.
  • Manage the roadmap and backlog: effectively prioritise opportunities from a range of inputs, understand and prioritise this work so your team is always working on the most impactful initiative.
  • Translate these problems/opportunities into tangible customer problems, through research and regular interaction with customers; define and frame those problems for the team
  • Work directly with your team on a daily basis to identify innovative solutions to solve these problems
  • Scope these solutions to their smallest coherent state to deliver to customers as early as you can
  • Ensure that the product has the most chance of success by addressing the key product risks early; value, usability, feasibility, and viability.
  • Constantly evaluate if your solutions have solved the customer problem and delivered on the business opportunity through quantitative and qualitative measures
  • Lead and motivate a team of people to do their best work
  • Coach and line manage up to 3 Product Managers
  • Champion and support the development of the Product Management function across the business

Working Schedule

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Required on-site in Bristol once a month.
