A member of the Applications team, Senior Application Administrator, provides planning, delivery, and maintenance of scalable application solutions that comply with current best practices and technology architectures. You ll engage with business unit leaders and Information Technology teams to collaborate on solutions that drive our operational success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Administers and provides overall support and maintenance of software applications, analytics tools, and support solutions.
  • Recommends, implements maintains, and performs application performance monitoring for the application ecosystem and relevant infrastructure.
  • Evaluates application system performance regularly to ensure adequate response times for production applications.
  • Participates in the software development lifecycle by ensuring that application support and maintenance are part of the requirements gathering process and contemplated throughout.
  • Lead, perform, and/or guide application installation and maintenance including application releases and patches, and updates.
  • Provide deep-level technical support for incidents/break-fix across the application ecosystem and maintains support relationship with appropriate third parties.
  • Establishes and documents procedures and playbooks to ensure application configuration, supportability, and reliability.
  • Participate in DevOps concepts & appropriate project management methodologies (e.g. waterfall, agile).
  • Performs research and development on new application support techniques, automation, and monitors releases relevant to the NFI ecosystem.
  • Participates in established IT Service Management activities, including Change Management, Release Management, Incident Management, and Problem Management.
  • Participates in the on-call rotation, providing off-hours support as required to perform necessary job functions and ensure service delivery.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the role and determined by management
Job-Specific Requirements:
  • Experience in managing the lifecycle of one or more of the following:
    • analytical and reporting tools like Tibco Web focus, SQL Server Integration Services and Reporting Services, Manhattan Software SCI, Tableau, Power BI, and others.
    • containerized environment using application stacks like Dell Boomi, RedHat Openshift, and RabbitMQ.
    • supporting data pipelines engineered using SSIS based with endpoints in SQL Server, MariaDB and Oracle database environments.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and configuration tools like Chef, Ansible, and Puppet.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely explain technical issues and solutions in business terms to the business and IT colleagues.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Senior Administrator Expectations:
  • BA/BS degree strongly preferred, will consider comparable work experience
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience is preferred.
