Our Client in Nuneaton is lookng for an Operations Manager around Warwickshire. The Job Overview is as follows As the Operations Manager your key responsibilities include: To oversee all aspects of service operations, ensuring delivery of services is in line with contract, commissioning requirements and current legislation. To actively lead Business Development and Business Growth. To develop and maintain excellent relationships with external organisations, commissioners and partners to drive the business forward. To work collaboratively with managers to achieve outcomes in line with ISS business plan. To ensure all services are fully resourced through effective recruitment management. To undertake regular audits of services to ensure that financial and operational processes are appropriately implemented, and quality is maintained across all services. To manage, mentor and lead managers (including HR Advisor) to enhance and develop their skills and abilities in line with their job descriptions and service responsibilities to ensure the best care is delivered to ISS customers. Location: Head office is in Nuneaton although you will travel across services/buildings which are located across the North of Warwickshire. You may also be required to meet with parents & carers and external partners and organisations as required to carry out your role. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you have a full driving licence, business insurance and access to a vehicle that you are willing to use to carry out your role. Working hours: 40 hours per week: Your core hours will be worked flexibly Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 5.30pm to include a thirty-minute unpaid break. You will at times need to work your contracted hours outside of these hours to meet the demands of the business. Responsibilities and Duties of the Job Role-specific Duties: Oversee the management of all services and managers (managers includes HR Advisor). Conduct regular 1-1 s with all managers (including supervisions and appraisals) to ensure they are working in line with individual job descriptions and to enhance and develop their service areas and skills. Liaise closely with the HR Advisor to oversee the training plan and ensure all necessary training is booked and delivered in a timely manner and to a satisfactory standard to meet legal and contractual requirements. Direct services to ensure a person-centred approach and that they meet all statutory and legal requirements. Carry out regular audits in all services and ensure managers are carrying out audits in line with agreed timescales. Ensure managers are competing actions identified in a timely manner. Liaise closely with HR Advisor to ensure HR polices & procedures are kept up to date and all managers are working to them in a proactive way. Oversee payroll to ensure that our systems are used, reviewed and that we pay employees correctly and on time and are our systems are fair and treat staff in the same way. Ensure that all managers proactively use our policy and procedure system for all other areas of the business including health and safety, care management and care planning. Liaise closely with HR Advisor to ensure all managers are reading and completing tasks from all weekly/monthly HR reports. Oversee and direct recruitment so all services are fully resourced through effective and creative recruitment management. Oversee any TUPE transfers. Oversee and ensure ISS marketing material is updated on a regular basis. Including hard copies and websites. Direct and oversee the management of performance in line with ISS policies and procedures, legislation and LA contracts. Chair disciplinary hearings, investigations, appeals as required. Take a lead role in tendering processes. Report to Directors monthly. Working with Others: Liaise with NHS, Warwickshire County Council (WCC) and other professional bodies and organisations and attend meetings as required. Lead business development opportunities and developmental work in line with ISS business plan including working with Golden Lane Housing (GLH) to grow Supported Living Services. Work closely with GLH, WCC & RM to oversee the setting up of new services and packages of support. Other Duties: Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth To undertake other duties that from time to time require. These shall be reasonable and commensurate with your knowledge base, skills, grading and experience and will be agreed following discussion with Directors. Personal and Professional Development: Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by Directors Person Specification Specific Requirement for Qualifications Essential Desirable A minimum of NVQ / QCF level 5 in leadership & management in health and social care or equivalent
