100% FTE, Monday - Friday, 8 hour days between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. No weekends, holidays or call.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. You will care for pediatric patients receiving renal replacement therapy. Our provider group is presently four (soon to be five) full time pediatric nephrologists, as well as 1.3 FTE NP providers. The Division of Pediatric Nephrology has active programs including: all forms of acute and chronic dialysis including home hemodialysis, a strong transplant program offering a steroid-free immunosuppression option since 2004, multidisciplinary clinics (bone metabolism, stone, metabolic syndrome/HTN) and has a large outreach program serving the state of Wisconsin.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

Assist with the program development of the Kids Comprehensive Dialysis Program.
Work alongside the physician team to manage the medical care of patients requiring CRRT.
Care for the pediatric dialysis population in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
Participate in quality improvement activities for pediatric dialysis patients.
Provide education to patients and families about dialysis.
Support the transition from dialysis to transplant with the expansion of the transplant program.

Education :
If Nurse Practitioner: Master s or Doctorate s degree from accredited Nursing Program.
If Physician Assistant: Bachelor s or Master s degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications :
Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
If Nurse Practitioner :

Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Pediatric Acute Care.

If Physician Assistant :

Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
Active PA board certification

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have : Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
