Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is looking for a Mid-Level P-8 Software Test Analyst - Sensors based out of Kent, Washington.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Designs, develops and executes verification procedures for Mission Systems, Simulation or Trainer Support software
  • Develops use cases for software requirements and verification
  • Develops and conducts integration and verification procedures for dry runs and formal qualification tests
  • Participates in peer reviews
  • Develops root cause analysis and correction for delivered products
  • Supports system test, aircraft delivery, and ground and flight-based test events
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations
  • Interfaces with other members of the project or program teams, management, sales and marketing staff, customers and suppliers to meet group, organization and company objectives
  • Performs technical planning and control; maintains and improves processes and software tools
  • Trains and instructs others
  • Works under general direction

This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Kent, Washington.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience in object oriented software testing (C/C++, Java)
  • 5+ years of experience with software testing on Windows or Linux

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience in one or more of the following domain areas: sensors & sensor integration, weapons & weapon integration, tactical data links, trainers
  • Experience in specific scripting languages: XML, Pearl, Python
  • Experience in agile software development processes
  • Experience in use case development
  • Experience in protocols: Networking, Serial, Device I/O, Wireless Communication
  • Experience in verification of Training software and User Interface design
  • Experience in troubleshooting H/W and S/W issues in a complex environment
  • Experience in Linux OS Support (RHEL)
  • Experience in installation and configuration of Linux OS
  • Experience in startup and basic configuration of Virtual Machine and Virtual Network environments
  • Experience in supporting as-run test reports and other contractual deliverables

Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
