Refinitiv Evaluated Pricing Service is an independent, global evaluated pricing source covering over 2.7 million fixed income securities and derivatives. Coverage spans all major financial markets and prices are available at multiple times daily. Our evaluated prices, which provide detailed transparency and market insight, are designed to support asset managers, custodian banks, mutual funds, investment banks, accounting firms, and financial research providers.

The Pricing Service staff consists of fixed income professionals and support staff in 10 locations: New York, London, Paris, Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney, Bangalore, Mumbai, Gdynia, and Costa Rica. Our experienced evaluators apply consistent and transparent pricing methodologies, incorporating observable market data and standard market convention practices.

The Manager, Sovereign and Corporate Bond Valuations has overall responsibility for the creation, accuracy and delivery of fixed income bond valuations within Evaluated Pricing Operations. Job functions and responsibilities include:
  • Oversees the daily creation of evaluations including sovereign, investment grade, high yield and emerging market securities
  • Manages the coverage, accuracy, and quality control of final evaluations delivered to customers
  • Ensures professional customer service especially through the price challenge process, price coverage requests and client notifications (e.g., industry developments, market news, significant events)
  • Coordinate Automation initiatives in partnership with the Head of Evaluated Pricing Operations to ensure vision and requirements are well articulated and strategic solutions are designed as planned.
  • Identify market and operational challenges to design solutions through collaboration and technology innovation
  • Liaise with global REPS asset class leaders to coordinate operational transformation and smooth transition from legacy to future state.
  • Ensure best practices are applied and robust methods are in place to gather information and compile comprehensively detailed document requirements, leveraging SMEs and BAs.
  • Ensure a feedback loop mechanism to help continue optimal prioritization of requirements and to track the progress at a high level. Detect red flags and collaborate on finding solutions.
  • Ensure productive and constructive stakeholder communications and relations are in place. Use network to bring together teams and participate in regularly scheduled meetings with SMEs, BAs, and Tech resources.
  • Inspire continued engagement in the program across various REPS teams; SME inputs are key to future state design.
  • Hires, trains, and manages fixed income professionals dedicated to fixed income evaluations including evaluators, credit analysts, and market analysts
  • Develops enhancements to pricing model, methodology documentation and product displays
  • Collaborates with all internal stakeholders concerning tactical and strategic market driven themes and trends
  • Liaises with third-party vendors on all coverage and quality initiatives.
  • Sources market color (e.g., quotes, trades, feeds) contributions
  • Provides commercial support to sales specialists and account managers including sales calls and due diligence meetings
  • Covers industry regulations and trade association developments impacting evaluations
  • As a member of the Evaluated Pricing Operations leadership team, the Manager, Sovereign and Corporate Bond Valuations will be involved with all facets of the evaluation service. This includes product delivery, budgeting, recruitment, business continuity planning, and compliance. The Manager will work closely with major internal stakeholders from the Proposition, Product, Sales & Account Management, and Marketing teams within Refinitiv to develop a product strategy for Sovereign and Corporate evaluation market share growth. This includes the build out of enterprise and desktop platforms, data acquisition, and sales force product training.

Job Requirements and Skills
  • Minimum 10 years bond valuation or analysis experience
  • Advanced degrees and certifications including Masters' Degree in Finance, Economics, or other related studies or CFA accreditation are helpful
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 5-7 years of leadership experience
  • Working knowledge of fixed income analytics
  • Track record of applying innovative solutions to financial markets challenges
  • Working knowledge of desktop software including spreadsheets, databases and presentation software
