Position Description: Barnett Engineering & Signaling Laboratories LLC (BESL) is seeking a qualified individual to perform continuous Authorization to Operate (cATO) development and processing through submission and approval. Qualified candidates must have experience developing RMF required documentation and artifacts following NIST 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, and be able to speak confidently regarding system security requirements with technical SMEs, and the Government customer.

Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Work with a team of cybersecurity professionals
  • Assist the ISSM and other ISSEs in following all RMF step processes
  • Assist in creating a timeline for RMF documentation development and delivery to satisfy a system IATT and cATO package in support of the ISSM
  • Assist in creating a Topology, Data Flow Diagram, HW/SW list, PPS, POA&M, and other RMF artifacts
  • Conduct cyber assessments using SCAP, STIG Viewer, and other assessment tools
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the Program Protection Implementation Plan (PPIP), Cybersecurity Strategy, Security Control Traceability Matrix (SCTM), Continuous Monitoring (CONMON) plan, and a Key and Certificate Management Plan (KCMP)
  • Assist in creating and delivering a Security Assessment Plan (SAP), and System Security Report (SAR) with all supporting artifacts
  • Ensure that security assessments, evaluations, and reports are completed and documented by established timelines
  • Identify security discrepancies and report security incidents
  • Assess and report changes in the system, its environment, and operational needs that could affect the accreditation
Position Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Cybersecurity or as an Information System Security Engineer
  • Security Clearance: Current DoD clearance required (Must be a U.S. Citizen to hold a Security Clearance)
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree Required in related field
  • Experience with eMASS, and/or Xacata
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working within a Military and/or Government environment
Certifications: Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 2 and 3 (Security+, CASP+)

Preferred Skills:
  • Master's Degree in a related field

Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act:

BESL complies with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary range for this particular effort in Colorado is approximately $70000 - 105000.
