FULL-TIME

$24/hr

Operate flexographic press to produce high-quality labels that meet customer's requirements. Run jobs in a timely manner with minimum waste. Double-check order for accurate graphics, quantity, stock, color, varnish, etc. Properly flag bad areas on the finished products. Adhere to safety practices of operating a press and maintain a clean work area. Inspect press parts on a regular basis and report the need for repairs/maintenance. Other duties as necessary and assigned.

Responsibilities:
- Reading job order, load dies into press, install print cylinder on shaft, and install print cylinder in press
- Filling ink pans with prescribed inks
- Splice end of the roll to stock remaining on press adjusts tension, and feed as directed
- Starting press, adjusting speed and alignment of stock to the print cylinder as necessary
- Engage print cylinders; adjust printing impression, and place print cylinders lead-to-lead
- Cutting sample of approval strip from printed roll, inspect for imperfections such as print to print out of register, print to die out of register, missing impression, ink starvation or color adjustments
- Cleaning plates and print cylinders and dies
- Continuously monitor the web and video camera screen to ensure excellent print quality to include register, color consistency, and print cleanliness
- Assisting in the performance of daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance
- Mixing inks to produce and maintain desired colors and viscosity

Shift length: 8 hours
Monday - Friday

  • Must be at least 18+ years old
Must have 2 or more years of experience running flexographic equipment is required to be considered for this position. If training is required, please apply for the Manufacturing Associate position.
