My long established client provide high quality cleaning, window cleaning and ground maintenance services to a diverse client-base across the South east of England. Currently I am working in partnership with them searching for an energetic and committed Contracts Manager to join their dedicated service delivery team. The role holder will have overall responsibility for ensuring the provision of a high quality, value for money service that meets or exceeds the clients expectations at all times. Quality control, staffing and building strong customer relationships will be key to your success. Through support and guidance they empower their Contracts Managers to run their teams skilfully and effectively without the need for daily supervision. The Contracts Manager role will involve the management of 25-30 staff and a Supervisor over an area that includes Parts of Kent, Essex, some parts of Sussex and South London. The perfect location for the Contracts Manager to reside would be the area Dartford south to Maidstone. Candidates for this role must reside south of the Thames. The ideal candidate will have previous contract management experience within the FM, Cleaning sector (ideally with housing associations or similar), and reside within the areas as mentioned. You will be a keen team-player with inspiring leadership qualities. You will be an instrumental part of a busy and expanding company. Key Responsibilities for the Contracts Manager: Organise staff under your control. Recruitment, training & mentoring. Site quality. Budgeting / planning. Allocating work schedules with due consideration for staff skills, training, qualifications, and experience. Maintain Health and Safety Standards on sites. Follow quality procedures and highlight opportunities for improvement. Comply with environmental legislation/ regulations. Ensure economical and efficient use of company resources throughout all activities. Essential Requirements: An excellent client facing manner. Experience in a similar role for more than 3 years. Well-versed in all grounds maintenance methodologies and equipment. Full UK Driving licence. Self-motivation with the ability to use own initiative. Excellent communication skills. Good administration skills. Working hours are usually 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. However there may be the need for very occasional evening and weekend appointments. Salary £32k, 28 days holiday (increasing by 1 day per year after 5 years service), NEST Pension and life assurance. The tools of the trade such as car, mobile laptop etc will be provided.
